ROSY LOVE

A collaborative work cycle by Maxrit & Lildea

Since 2017, Maxrit and Lildea have pursued a shared artistic practice that brings together painting, music and lived experience within a unified conceptual framework. ROSY LOVE represents the most comprehensive expression of this collaboration—an interdisciplinary exhibition cycle in which visual art and music function as interconnected components of a single artistic investigation.

Developed from the Pop-Rock song ROSY, written by both artists and recorded with Lildea as lead vocalist, the cycle examines memory, forgiveness and love as forces capable of reshaping human experience. Rather than illustrating the song, the paintings extend its emotional and philosophical themes into the visual realm, inviting reflection on the ways personal memory influences identity and how the past can acquire new meaning through conscious reinterpretation.

The cycle unfolds through an interconnected body of works that explores recurring states of growth, vulnerability, loss and renewal. Paintings such as Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, The Harvest of Memories, Grinding the Past, Under Water and Roots of Love are conceived not as isolated narratives but as chapters within a larger visual structure.

At its center stands the monumental triptych Rosy Love, establishing the conceptual anchor from which the entire cycle expands. A defining material element throughout the series is the incorporation of genuine rose components—including buds, blossoms, petals, stems and leaves—embedded directly into every canvas. The rose therefore exists simultaneously as material, image and conceptual thread, linking all works within a shared visual vocabulary.

Each painting emerges through an ongoing dialogue between both artists. Lildea develops the initial digital compositions that form the foundation of every work, while Maxrit transforms their surfaces through painterly intervention, pigments, physical deformations and sculptural layers of marble powder. Rather than preserving two distinct artistic signatures, the process results in a unified visual language that reflects the collaborative nature of the project itself.

Conceived as a complete exhibition cycle, ROSY LOVE explores love not as a romantic subject but as a transformative creative force capable of reconfiguring memory, perception and personal history. The project offers museums, galleries and cultural institutions an immersive exhibition experience in which painting and music converge within a coherent contemporary artistic vision.
