About

Maxrit

Biography

Maxrit is a multidisciplinary artist whose roots lie in both visual art and music. Born into a family of creatives, he began developing his artistic language early on — shaped equally by classical training in fine arts and in composition, electroacoustic, and experimental music. Educated in Linz and Vienna, he holds multiple degrees across music and the humanities.

His creative voice was deeply influenced by his close mentorship with composer Hans Werner Henze, whose guidance helped shape Maxrit’s distinct fusion of emotional depth, structure, and aesthetic clarity across all mediums.

From an early age, Maxrit was immersed in experimental science and auditory research, shaped by a childhood environment rich in brainwave studies, NLP, and hypnosis — areas explored by his father. This early exposure deeply informed his artistic voice, where experimentalism remains a core force. His work often challenges perception and consciousness, blending sound, symmetry, and frequency with a conceptual drive toward heightened awareness.

As a multi-award-winning composer and artist, Maxrit shifted from a successful career in music to entrepreneurship, running businesses in marketing and multimedia across North America. Despite the pressures of business, his art evolved, blending impulsive yet structured line art to explore human nature, sexuality, and emotions.

After years of international moves, Maxrit fully embraced his role as an artist, transcending his musical roots. In 2017, Maxrit met Lildea, a singer-songwriter, digital artist, author and creative ally who would become central to his journey.

Together, they’ve been shaping songs and producing pop music, supporting each other’s art along the way. Their shared work became the true center of his life.

Maxrit’s creative journey has been shaped by the mentorship and influence of renowned artists, including Hans Werner Henze, Wolfram Wagner, Kurt Schwertsik, Dieter Kaufmann, Klaus Huber, Tamas Ungvary, Robert Rauschenberg, Mike Kelley, to name a few. His work has also drawn deep inspiration from the avant-garde masters such as John Cage, György Ligeti, Stravinsky, Brian Eno, and the bold expressions of Pollock and de Kooning. These diverse influences have converged in Maxrit’s own art, which has earned a place in collections across Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and Australia, echoing the global resonance of his vision.

Maxrit’s exhibitions are a reflection of his life’s journey, having lived in every country where his art has been showcased. From Austria to Spain, Portugal, UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, and Bali, his work evolves alongside the diverse cultures he has called home, creating a global narrative woven through each of his locations.
